• Saturday, 05/03 - 6:30PM - 9:30PM - Triangle Club Annual Dinner
  The Triangle Club will host its 15th Annual Dinner at the Washington Plaza Hotel, located at Ten Thomas Circle, N.W., Washington, DC on Saturday, May 3. Since 1990, the Triangle Club has served the GLBT 12 Step recovery community providing a safe space for members to meet and “Carry the Message”, which is this year's theme. Please join us in congratulating our volunteer of the year, Eileen G., who is being honored for her extraordinary service, dedication to the Triangle Club and tireless efforts in carrying the message to the recovering community.

  The Annual Dinner is one of the only chances we get every year to gather as an entire community and enjoy our incredible fellowship. The cost is $50 with small proceeds benefiting the Triangle Club. Please consider providing a scholarship as well as making an additional contribution to help defray costs. The dinner event will include the popular Silent Auction, a 50/50 raffle and cool entertainment.

  Online ticket sales are no longer available. A limited number of tickets remain. If you would like to attend the dinner or request a scholarship, please email Marty O. There is a chance that a few tickets will be available at the door.

• Tuesday, 05/13 - 6:00PM - Triangle Club Board Meeting
  The Board meets monthly every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:00PM to go over finances, discuss club events, and hear concerns of club members. All Triangle Club members are welcome to attend these monthly meetings.

• Saturday, 05/17 - 9AM -12PM Triangle Club Dry Goods Sale
  The excitement will be located in front of the Triangle Club. For more information, please contact Barry. You can be part of this event by volunteering to help with any of the following:
  • Help solicit donations and/or recruit volunteers. Ask your friends in the program to consider bringing a box or two of used books, CDs, clothes, trinkets, odds and ends. We'd be happy to sell it.
  • Donate your used goods to sell - What better way can you think of clear out your closets, basements, attics than to donate your unwanted goodies? (Since the Triangle club is a non-profit, your donations are tax deductible at fair market value. We can give you the form and you fill in the value).
  • Make announcements and pass out flyers.
  • Post signs around the neighborhood. A week or so prior to the event, we will give you the signs and you can post them.
  • Pick up donations in your car/truck. If you have a big car or truck and want to help pick up bigger items from people, please email us.
  • Help from about 8am to 2pm on Saturday to tag, sell and clean up.
  • Hang out afterwards for first dibs on the best leftovers and then take the remainder to the Goodwill.
  TWO WAYS TO DONATE:
  • Bring your items to the Triangle Club on Saturday, May 17 at 9am
  • Arrange to you have your stuff picked at your house on Saturday, May 17 by 8 am.

    This monthly activity sponsored by the Triangle Club, occurs on the 1st Sunday of each month beginning in June and ending in September, to provide an outlet for fellowship and fun to club members, and individuals within the LGBT recovery community. Come join your recovering friends on the deck with an old-fashioned cookout. All members of the GLBT recovery community are encouraged to come and we want to especially welcome the newcomers. Price of $5 includes: all you can eat of our freshly grilled burgers (veggie too), hot dogs, chips and soda. Even if you do not have the money, please join us for food and fellowship.
  • 06/6 - 06/08 - Founders' Day, Akron, Ohio
    Celebrate the 73rd Anniversary of Alcoholics Anonymous at Founder's Day in Akron Ohio, the birthplace of A.A. For more information and to register, see Akron Intergroup Council.
